Ingredients: White Glutinous Rice

Preparation: Glutinous rice can be served instead of plain rice with a main meal, or as a dessert by adding coconut milk and by topping the rice with e.g. fruit or coconut custard.
1.Pour the glutinous rice into a saucepan.
2.Rinse the rice several times,until the water runs clear.
3.Soak the rice in water for 12 hours or overnight, then drain.
4.Wrap the rice in a cheesecloth or delicate cotton cloth. Put the cheesecloth inside a bamboo steamer.
5.Pour 1,5 L of water into a saucepan. Place the bamboo steamer on top of the saucepan (it should not touch the water).
6.Bring water to boil to create steam. Steam for 45 minutes or until the rice is tender.
